That awaits you when tandem paragliding with fly4you
Feedback from a passenger:
Today I literally lived in the clouds during my tandem paragliding flight. What does a cloud actually look like from the inside?
It feels as if you are floating in a misty dream and the air around you is saturated with thousands of tiny droplets of water. It’s quiet, almost surreal, as if the world outside didn’t exist for a moment. The temperature drops, you feel a fresh chill on your skin as the wind gently caresses your face. But then suddenly you break through the thick white blanket and the world unfolds at your feet again: the breathtaking landscape of Carinthia with its deep blue lakes and imposing mountains that seem endless.
The day began with the ascent to the summit of the Gerlitzen. Up by bus, gondola and finally the T-bar lift, while the landscape disappeared further and further below you. When I reached the top, I felt the tension building, put on extra layers of clothing, sturdy shoes and then joined in. One step and we were floating.
From the air, everything seems smaller, but at the same time much bigger. From a bird’s eye view, we flew over the crystal clear waters of Lake Ossiach, the wind carrying us playfully. A few acrobatic turns over the lake made the experience even more intense, as if we were part of the sky for a moment. It wasn’t just a flight, it was freedom, pure and unforgettable.
Thanks to my experienced pilot Anna Schneider, who has made the skies her second home since 2010, I felt completely safe and was able to enjoy this sensational adventure to the full. What a day I will never forget.

The paraglider has developed into a safe flying device in the last decades. For paragliding tandem flights are used only simple and therefore very safe gliders. These offer everyone, in the hands of responsible and experienced pilots, the unique opportunity to fly. A certain residual risk cannot be prevented, as in all sports, most injuries (sprain, bruise) happen during the take-off run.
Many pilots are afraid of heights, the feeling that when they look down from a tower or cliff edge they are drawn down. With the paraglider this fear is gone, as soon as you lose contact with the ground the fear of falling disappears and you can enjoy the flight.
There is no legal age limit for passengers. We fly with our little guests from a weight of 20 kg, for children and adolescents up to 18 years the signature of a parent or legal guardian is required on the flight ticket. Many of our guests are under the age of 18, our youngest passenger was 5 years old and as you can see in our photo gallery it was fun for everyone.
In the high season we recommend book in good time (2 days in advance) to avoid waiting times. For appointments at short notice, please register by phone.
We start with the paraglider from the most beautiful Carinthian mountains and are therefore dependent on the weather, a gliding flight from the Gerlitze takes about 20 minutes. If the thermal conditions are good, our pilots will use the updraft to gain altitude and thus extend the flight to 30-40 minutes. 1.5 hours must be allowed for one pass (ascent, preparation, take-off, flight and landing).
We fly with passengers from 20kg to 120kg.
Your pilot will fly over the landing field in position to reduce the remaining altitude there, now he controls the paraglider in the downwind approach, base leg and finally in the final approach. In the final approach, the glider’s speed is slowed down so that you have to take a few quick steps, depending on the wind. The stronger the wind, the slower and smoother the landing.
You can register with us by phone at: +43 676 939 4779, send an email to erich@fly4you.at or book a flight directly on our homepage.
If you can take a few quick steps and don’t have any serious chronic illnesses, nothing stands in the way of a tandem flight. In the event of heart disease or other impairments, the pilot must be informed before the flight!
Yes, you can wear your glasses or contact lenses normally, but we recommend additional sunglasses because the wind (ca.35km/h) and the strong sun can be disturbing in summer.
Of course, you can document your flight yourself with your own camera or camera, but some passengers are so busy that they don’t get much of the actual experience. fly4you offers you a photo service with video and photos during the flight.
